Third Documentary Film Festival 15-18 May 2008

Attention: Volunteers Wanted!

Why not help out at Guth Gafa 2008? We need people to come and join the festival team for the weekend of the festival. Volunteers' will support festival staff in roles such as collecting tickets at venues, answering attendees' queries at the information desk and anything else that ensures the festival runs smoothly. For a little bit of your time, you can watch as many films as you like. Food is also provided for festival volunteers. To find out more about volunteering, or to put your name forward to volunteer, just leave your details here.

Accommodation Going Fast in Gortahork

Hotel and B&B rooms are in huge demand for the weekend of the festival, so book yours soon to avoid disappointment. For those who can't stay in Gortahork, there will be a regular shuttle bus operating between An Chúirt Hotel, Errigal Hostel and Gortahork. The journey time is approximately 15 minutes. Contact details for accommodation can be found here. If you're still having trouble finding accommodation give us a call at the festival office, where we have a more comprehensive list.

This year’s Guth Gafa promises a rich program of 25+ quality international and Irish documentary premieres, with an emphasis on human rights, an Irish language strand, and a Polish season. The programme for the whole weekend can be downloaded from this location (pdf format, 554 KB).

The vision of this festival is to bring outstanding films and film-makers to this remote area – our films on the edge. Our motto of ‘see all the films, meet all the directors’ is the very essence of Guth Gafa.
