Members of an Iranian family living in political exile in Europe and America decide to secretly meet their relatives still in Iran, whom they haven’t seen in almost twenty years. The only place this would be possible is Saudi Arabia. Despite all the dangers involved, the family members in exile pose as Muslim pilgrims so they can enter the holy cities of Mecca and Medina. The long-awaited, tearful reunion takes place in a small hotel room. What happens after that is a clash of two different cultures, the Muslim world and the Western societies of Europe and America.
