How do we come to terms with ageing, time passing and the ineludible fact of death? Can a chance conversation with a doctor become a reflection on our own life? The Clinic portrays a group of elderly patients who are staying in an ordinary Polish hospital. From these people we learn how to preserve dignity and cheerfulness at a time when the end of life is near. Doctors, while performing their regular activities, talk to their patients, and these conversations give them the opportunity to look back and reflect on their lives.
