Since 1983 - works as a free-lancer for Swedish Television, Swedish Film Institute, Finnish, Danish and Norwegian TV-stations as well as Polish Television. Since 1993 - co-operates with ZDF and ARTE. Since he left Poland Sladkowski have produced and directed over 40 films, most documentaries, from the most remoted spots of our planet. The human beings stay in the main focus of his interest. People facing dramatic changes, fighting for survival as well as individuals trying just to live a decent live in the more and more hardening environment - are frequent heroes in Jerzy Sladkowskis films.
